BC Ambassador is available to any youth between the ages of 17-24 who has previously held a youth ambassador title in BC. Our Ambassadors inspire youth to be essential to their province by fostering Leadership, Education, Volunteerism and Connections through positive youth interactions within their communities.
What does being a candidate entail?
BC Ambassador Candidacy begins in March and culminates in the selection of the British Columbia Ambassador Team on the Last Saturday in July.
As a BC Ambassador Candidate you will be required to complete the following components:
- a Biography, Resume and 2 Letters of Reference
- run a promotion and fundraising campaign for the BCAP (with a minimum of $1000 raised)
- take a provincial knowledge exam (exam material is provided at the beginning of candidacy to study)
- create a community table display
- answer an impromptu question
- write, memorize, & deliver a community speech
- write, memorize, & deliver a personal speech
- personal interview with the judging panel
